The shabby chic wedding is a style of wedding that I particularly love; after all, I’ve written a book about shabby chic style.

Villa Delfini is a charming wine estate located in one of the most beautiful and renowned places in Piedmont: the Monferrato region.
The Monferrato region, along with the Langhe, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A shabby chic wedding at Villa Delfini in Morsasco, amidst the colors and scents of Provence.
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing many unique and special events, but Cristina and Andrea’s wedding at Villa Delfini in Morsasco will forever remain etched in my memory. Their shabby chic wedding, inspired by the colors and scents of Provence, was a true dream come to life.
The perfect setting: Villa Delfini
The location itself was already a fairy tale. Villa Delfini, nestled in the picturesque hills of Monferrato, with its vineyards and romantic atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for this shabby chic wedding. The villa, with its nineteenth-century architecture, was skillfully decorated with vintage and rustic elements, creating a welcoming and intimate atmosphere.
A profusion of lavender
The Provencal theme was evident in every detail. Lavender, symbolizing purity and love, was the undisputed protagonist: from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the bouquets, from the wedding favors to the floral decorations.
The wedding cake couldn’t be anything other than a “naked cake,” which is, by far, my favorite wedding cake.
I met the bride in a beautiful apartment in the center of Turin for the “hair and makeup” session, and then, after about an hour’s journey, I photographed the actual preparation at Villa Delfini.
The weather threatened rain, but it thundered so much that it didn’t rain.
The ceremony: a moment of pure emotion
The ceremony took place outdoors, in the villa’s garden, under a clear blue sky. The bride and groom exchanged their wedding vows under an arch of white flowers and lavender, while the guests, moved, witnessed this moment of pure emotion.
A wedding banquet rich in flavors
The wedding banquet took place in the villa’s cellars. A menu rich in typical Piedmontese dishes, accompanied by fine local wines, delighted the palate of the guests.
Music, dancing, and fun
After the banquet, the celebration continued with music, dancing, and entertainment. The bride and groom opened the dance floor with a romantic first dance, followed by the guests joining in. The live music and the groom’s performance as a singer created a cheerful and convivial atmosphere that engaged all the guests.
An unforgettable wedding
Cristina and Andrea’s wedding was truly a special event, a shabby chic wedding that combined elegance, romance, and simplicity perfectly. An unforgettable day for the bride and groom and for all those fortunate enough to participate in this shabby chic fairy tale.
It was a truly beautiful wedding, with a fantastic couple and exceptionally high-quality hospitality.
